Re: Lancaster Crash EE135, PO-Y, 23/24.09.1943

Hello Klaus,

Here's the entry in the NJWD 2nd edition:

Ofw. Kurt Grieneisen: 1 5./JG300 Lancaster over Mannheim: 5.900 m. 23.20 prob. 467 Sqn Lancaster EE135. Note: also claimed by Oblt. Becker (23.21 hrs; victory credited to Oblt. Becker 28.7.1944); claim Ofw. Grieneisen confirmed on 2.8.1944

Oblt. Martin Becker: 1 Stab I./NJG6 Lancaster nr Speyer: 5.000 m. 23.21 467 Sqn Lancaster EE135. Note: coned by 1.-4./Flakscheinw. Abt. 908 & 3./Flakscheinw. Abt. 300 (‘Lancaster Speyer/Ketsch 23.20 hrs’)

Are there any photos available of the Lancaster crew and possibly of the wartime crash site?

Cheers & beste Grüsse aus Groningen,

Theo
