64 Squadron were certainly in the area at that time ( I assume your time stated is European time not British).
64 claimed a 109 destroyed and one damaged (RAF Victory claims of WW2 1939/40) so they were definatley involved with 109's in combat. I can not confirm if any 64 aircraft were lost as yet but looking at Stephane's response it looks like they did loose aircraft in the clash.
Have you seen the Osprey Aircraft of the Aces 11 BF109D/E Aces 1939/41. JG3 are mentioned often and the opening cover picture is a double page of JG3 109's during the battle at dispersal.
