Hello!
I'm looking for a crashed JU 52 in the period April/May 1943 over Italy (Naples?).
The machine has come quite possibly from North Africa. One of the survivors was my uncle - Friedrich "Fritz" Wappler. He died about 13 months later (June 7, 1944) in "Reserve-Lazarett V" (Munich) from the effects of serious injury.
According to the death certificate, my uncle was Obergefreiter (Corporal and possibly the "Bordfunker"), his unit was "Luftnachrichten-Stelle E 23/XI".
