No luck yet with 1648, but it's "neighbors" are known:

WNr.1647 was "weiße 11" of the 7./JG 54, Ostermann 'bent' this one on landing with radiator damage 1.Sept. 1940

WNr.1649 of the 1./JG 3, damaged 30% on 24.Aug. 1940 while being flown by Meckel.
