Andreas, that definition of 'E' has been my experience as well. Have seen it used for Erg.KG. sorties as well as for units such as EKdo. 25. I had guessed that it was for 'Einsatz' but had never seen any formal definition.
'H' is for non-combat flights, even in combat zones, for such things as orientation flights, test flights, transfer/courier flights and others along those lines.
