Hello all,

I have recently picked up a very nice 41 pattern Mae West, on the rear of the centre panel in ink is written 'waterwaif', I am unsure if this is a surname as very unusual, I looked it up and there is a few in the USA but cannot locate any RAF records to anyone with this detail. Can anyone help with a possible lead even if this is not a surname?
