I currently have the following losses listed on 9 September 1940:

Stab KG30 Junkers Ju88A-5 (0274). Believed shot down by No. 66 Squadron Spitfires during sortie to bomb London Docks and belly-landed at Church Field, Newells Farm, Nuthurst, near Horsham, 6.00 p.m. FF Oberlt Rolf Heim (Geschwader Ia), BF Fw Albert Fuhs, BO Uffz Josef Beck, and BS Uffz Walter Baustian all captured unhurt. Aircraft 4D+AA 100% write-off.

Stabsstaffel II./KG30 Junkers Ju88A-2 (5074). Both engines disabled in attack by S/L R.H.A. Leigh of No. 66 Squadron during sortie to bomb London Docks. Harried by P/O H.R. Allen and P/O I.J.A. Cruickshanks of No. 66 Squadron prior to belly-landing at Bannisters Farm, Toulver Lane, Barcombe, near Lewes, 5.40 p.m. Possibly also that attacked by P/O R. Deacon-Elliott of No. 72 Squadron. FF Oberlt Hans-Gert Gollnisch (Staffelkapitän), BO Uffz Willi Rolf, and BF Uffz Willi Hamerla all captured unhurt, BS Uffz Ernst Deibler killed. Aircraft 4D+KK fired by crew 100% write-off.

Stabsstaffel II./KG30 Junkers Ju88A-1 (8032). Failed to return from sortie to bomb London Docks and believed shot down by fighters 5.45 p.m. FF Uffz [ ] Stahl, BO Uffz [ ] Fecht, BF Uffz [ ] Hallert and BS Gefr [ ] Goerth all missing. Aircraft 4D+FB 100% write-off.

Stab III./KG30 Junkers Ju88A-1 (333). Sortied to attack London but engaged by Spitfires of No. 602 Squadron and both engines disabled. Possibly that attacked by S/L A.V.R. Johnstone and P/O A. Lyall. Ditched on Pagham foreshore, east of Bognor Regis, following final attack by F/O P.C. Webb 5.50 p.m. FF Major Johannes Hackbarth (Gruppenkommandeur) and BO Oberfw Hans Manger both captured badly wounded, BF Uffz Willi Sawallisch and BS Gefr Friedrich Petermann both killed. Aircraft 4D+AD 100% write-off.
Hans Manger is believed to have baled out at extreme low level landing in Chalcraft Lane with an injured arm, another crewman reportedly falling without parachute in Nyetimber Lane. Hackbarth was reported to have suffered a badly wounded leg.

8./KG30 Junkers Ju88A-5 (3195). Shot down by fighters during sortie to attack London and believed crashed in the Channel off Bognor Regis 5.55p.m. BO Uffz Otto Hettinger and BF Obergefr Fritz Baumgarten both killed, BS Uffz Wilhelm Vette and FF Fw Ludwig Jung both rescued wounded. Aircraft 4D+LS 100% write-off.
