Re: JG.4
Hy,
Well I do have the two volumes about the history of JG 4 written by Eric Mombeek: Sturmjäger - Zur Geschichte de Jagdgeschwaders 4 und der Sturmstaffel 1, but due to the hectic last days of the war the greater part of the official JG documents were lost. So we can only asume that those 3 pilots were, either killed or missing in action:
- Uffz. Pirmann (5.(Sturm)/JG 4): presumed mia after battle in the area Werneuchen-Strausberg bei Berlin sometime during march'45.
-Fw. Oelschlägel III./JG 4: mia sometime during march'45, although he was record as a POW at a Kamp in Charkow.
- ? Klotz IV./JG 4: mia near Berlin sometime during march'45, but probably became a POW as he never returned from a Sovjet POW-kamp near Moskou.
Kind regards,
Dirk
