That was real good info.
The chap that lead 213 Sqn was a friend of my Father ie Spencer Whiting who sadly died last year.
The gunner that was in the last Baltimore in the rear vic was Allan Harper,
who shot at the 109.A real nice story about that in our new book on 15 SAAF which will be out about end of the year.
It is possible that the JG27 records are out by a day but I will write that the 109 was believed to have been shot down but not confirmed.
Is it possible that you can email me that 213 sqn ORB to
stefaan@surgeon.co.za, as I would like to have it as reference when I state that it was a 213 Sqn Spit that came to their help and not 94 as was stated by the 15 Sqn WDairy.
A friend of mine has just released a book on the life of one of the pilots of 16 sqn that was leading the raid ie J Clements.
