this bands were connected probably with some military exercise purposes (eg. the plane of Gruppen CO - Maj.G.Handrick - had a white band and also white 1 of Franz Hoerning of 1/JG26 worn in September 1939 white band).
The man standing by belly landed red 6 is Martin Rysawy (8 kills). The most of this photo were taken at early stage of war in Odendorf.
But I think that photo of red 1 was taken some time later - it has already the Geschwader emblem.
