Four (4) of USS Ranger´s Grumman F4F-4 (or F4F-4P) Wildcats of VF-4 probably downed Ju 88 D-1 W.Nr. 0881682 “4N+EH” 1.(F)/22 (Lt. Johannes Hoss) and Heinkel He 115 B W.Nr. 1866 “K6+MH” 1./KuFlGr 406.
Also involved in Operation Leader were Dauntlesses of VB-4 and Avengers of VT-4.
