"26th July. Fg Off Newbury in K9815 on a trip to Warmwell found his engine doing all kinds of queer things and decided to force land. He did and made a good job of it, the aircraft subsequently catching fire!! Which was just what we wanted as the aircraft was an old patched up crock forced on to us to replace one of our losses."
