Some more accurate infos: Feldwebel Ulrich Veh, 3./JG 300, claimed a unidentified "Viermot" south of Mannheim, at 3800 m altitude. Time was 22.50 on 23 september 1943. Confirmed as number 2 of 3./JG 300 on august 3rd, 1944.
How can you be sure he shoot down your father's Lancaster ? The exact timing ? There were several others JG 300 claims that night in the Mannheim area between 22.50 and 23.20...
