Re: He 111 Champlitte

About this crash we have some info for attribute the claim collective to GC II/5 (Cpte Monaisse, Cpte Duda, S/Lt Klan, Lt Hébrard, C/c Svetlik, A/C Gras ).
So, french people living toward say :
Circa 7h00 one aerial battle was observed on the road for Dijon between "Champlitte" and "le puiseau" (the road was full of french civilians ).
Circa 7H/7H15 one German bomber (2 motors) was crashed near "le puiseau" near one wood (bouleaux in French), one motor, one wheel and the body from one aviator. One other motor fall near the road and some parts are dispersed on 100/200 meters ... we found 3 dead persons and 2 others members of crew are made prisonner of war " by french police from "Fontaine Française" town (Gendarmerie) ...
(Perhaps it's possible to obtain rapport from french archive'a archival services in S.H.D Vincennes).
I obtain theses datas by mr Grandhay, french historian who working about history from "Haute Sâone" department (champlitte country) ..
We know one other german plane was schooting down am 9 hours, but we don't have the crash place ..
I have one lot of pictures from this 111 crash, but without elements for identification of the unity ... We can see one German aviator killed and the relics of the plane .
For moment, i prefer no publish them ...
So, i'm especially interested too to know your source for identity of victims ..

I forget, generally German's aviators killed in our region was moved in Andilly Cemetary (near Toul in France ), but this crash was arrived in 1940, perhaps the body was transfered in Germany .. (With the names if you are sure you can verify for Andilly with German services without problem )

Best regards, Dan
