Hi guys
I noticed that Micheal Meyer is offering a pair of photographs said to be of an incident that Unteroffizier Fritz Lüddecke (51 victories, RK, killed on 10 August 1944) of 6./JG 51 suffered on 24 August 1942 at Orel-Nord. Looking at the JG 51 loss list the only entry for that unit on that date was Bf 109 F-2 (W.Nr. 5491) that lost direction while landing at Orel-Nord and suffered 35% damage.

Am I correct in presuming that if the above information is correct these two incidents are one and the same?
