"The last photo in the 6th batch has 2 men, Emil and Franz, standing in front of a He-46 with placards indicating they have both flown 1000 combat missions.
Can anyone tell me who they are?"
These names were nicknames in the Luftwaffe: "Emil" for a pilot and "Franz" for an observer. The crew is standing behind a Hs 126 of 5.(H)/13 after the 1000. mission of the Staffel on 28.01.42.
