Re: Chris Le Roux - Hurricane pilot?
Just got my copy of Le Roux's RAF Records. He is posted to 73 Squadron, not 85 Squadron on 18 May 1940! His next posting is to 7 OTU on 25 June 1940. Seven pilots join 73 Squadron on 21 May 1940 ("Twelve Days in May" , p.299) I wonder if he was one of them?
The squadron is back in the UK on 17 June 1940, so it's possible he is posted to 7 OTU after a brief period of leave.
