I have a copy of the German version of Hans-Ekkehard Bob's book 'Die Grünherzjäger. Bildchronik des Jagdgeschwaders 54' and I'm wondering about one photo of Dietrich Hrabak.
I wonder whether the mark (which I have circled) is only a scratch on the photo, a printing error or whether he had a scar there.
If you have another copy of the book or maybe access to the original photo, is the mark also visible there? By the way, were scars mentioned in the Soldbuch, or only if a soldier was wounded?
