Capt. John Voll P-51B "American Beauty"
USAAF top ace in the MTO, Capt. John Voll flown P-51s named "American Beauty". His most famous plane was a "D" model coded HL-B, but he also flown at last one "B" model in June-July 1944 also named "American Beauty" with six victory markings near the cockpit. Unfortunately very scarce information are available about this "B" model: does anyone know the code (HL-?) and the serial number?
