two Ju 290 A-1 (never dot, dude) ended up in or near airfields in Afrika. Some of your other seen pictures can be of either. And J4+AH was indeed attacked by USAAF Kittyhawks and claimed destroyed by catching fire. But it was simply scrapped, and had tail detached. Pictures show that process. US soldiiers standing on its floor, first I thougt is was a cargo ship, it was so huge. But nose was burned off, after crash. Other had Stkz. SB+QB and was set on fire. Pictures of it were seen here (in this thread) recently.
