I've only just received this and have only looked at the DB-3/Il-4 and Il-2 sections. There doesn't seem to be much new info provided and the Il-2 data appears to be condensed from the authors book on that aircraft.
Hard, really, to assess its value, but I do value the chance to double-check the information in earlier books on these aircraft.
