Matti: Thanks for this. Looking at this, it would appear that Don Caldwell has got things wrong. Uffz Mondry was in 7./JG 26 in 1941 getting his first kill 16 Feb 41. The photos in his book is not the same as the photo I have of Mondry (he appears quite tall whilst in my photo is a good head shorter than everyone else). He then says Fw Georg Mondry was injured 5 April 1942 still with 7 Staffel. He then says on 31 May 43, Lt Rolf-Georg Mondry of 5./JG 26 was killed! VDK say Georg was killed near Mariakirche on 31 May 43. So Uffz Rolf Mondry 7 Staffel Lt Georg Mondry 5 Staffel
