I've written about Sonderverband Einhorn in various different places over the years and it only amounted to 3 unserviceable aircraft by end of 1944. It flew one bombing attack on the Eindhoven bridges; (from memory) three missions in Italy; and a number of attacks on Remagen (after it had been absorbed by 11./KG 200). Its main advantage seems to have been that its aircraft were able to carry 1000 kg bombs.

I know the name "Leonidas" is always used in books for the SO-Staffel but have you ever seen a wartime source for it?
