Clarification sought on two NJG losses February 1945

Hi,

I am seeking clarification (from documentary rather than published sources) on two Nachtjagdverbände losses between 21 and 22 February 1945.

As many will be aware, the Lw.Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt. Loss returns record the date of an incident but not the time. For Nachtjagdverbände losses, this complicates matters as will be seen below...

First Loss - II./NJG2

Lw.Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt. Loss Return 310/45 d. 17.03.45, Luftflotte Reich, Lfd. Nr. 37:

21.02.45
I./NJG 2
F
[eindflug]
Niedermendig
Notldg. inf. Motorstörung
Ju 88 A14
[sic] 621979
35%
Hptm, (Staffelkapitän) Blume, F, (Verl.) 1 (1)

Lw.Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt. Loss Return 370/45 d. 23.03.45, Luftflotte Reich, Lfd. Nr. 26

22.02.45
II./NJG 2
F
[eindflug]
bei Koblenz
Notldg. inf. Flakbesch.
Ju 88 G6 621779
40%
Hptm. Walter Blume, F, (Verl.) 1 (1)
Ofw. Martin Schuster, F, (Verl.) 1

Thus, the incident is reported twice with different dates in the loss returns and I have found no amendment issued later (i.e. up to 1 April 1945) deleting one entry or the other.

Additionally, in ULTRA (HW 5/675, R.485/A/18):

"621779, Ju.88 G5, IV/NJG, Marking: 4R+M. A/c crashed on 22/2 2145 near KOBLENZ 35-40% damage. Pilot Hptm. WALTER BLUME slightly injured".

Does anyone have access to the Namentliche Verlustmeldung for this incident? I would like to know what this document records exactly for the date of the incident.

Second Loss - IV./NJG1

Lw.Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt. Loss Return 260/45 d. 13.03.45, Luftflotte Reich, Lfd. Nr. 49:

21.02.45
IV./NJG 1
F
[eindflug]
Fl. Pl. Dortmund
Notldg. Inf. Bordwaffenbeschuß (n. feindb.)
Bf 110 G4 160769
80%
Uffz. Schiffer Wilhelm, Bf, (Verl.) 1

Does anyone have access to the Namentliche Verlustmeldung for this incident? I would like to know what this document records exactly for the date of the incident and about Uffz. Schiffer (I suspect he baled out near Hattingen while the aircraft went on to make a forced-landing at Dortmund airfield).

The biggest issue I have in understanding the context of these two incidents is that I do not know for sure which nights they occurred (20-21 February, 21-22 February, or 22-23 February). At this point, I am ignoring published sources because I cannot be certain books don't extrapolate the date beyond what is in the original documentation (i.e. 21 February becomes 20-21 or 21-22 February)...

Regards

Rod M
