I have read Batts book also and, was surprised at no mention of Sgt Bann also, especially when they were both in Yellow section!
Certainly when i spoke with Mr Batt he had fond memories of Sgt Bann but in relation to alll Sgt Batts war he only knew Sgt Bann for a few months before he was killed.
