Re: Kampfgeschwader 200

Hi Andy,
thanks, I used these links for the research. It appears, that some of the nicknames, eg. Carmen (Bergamo), Olga (Frankfurt/Main and Stuttgart) and Toska (somewhere in Poland?) can be connected to places, while Clara (or Klara) can not.
My grandfather joined the IV.ground support unit of KG2 on the 4th of february 1944, that's where his record stops. The KG200 was formed 16 days later.
The IV./KG2 was in Melun/Villaroche from 8.42 til 4.44 and in Ferihegy from 4.44 til 9.44, where it was subordinated to the Luftflotte Reich. From there the IV./KG2 was split up and the trace is lost.
Find more about ferihegy at: http://www.bud.hu/english/press_room...rticle_hid=560

So, I wonder how, where and when my granddad joined the KG 200...

Best regards,
Argento
