Lost on a mission to Birmingham in Do 217 E-4, 5484, U5+FL night of 27-28 July 1942. Trouble is RAF claimed 4 Do 217s destroyed, 3 probably destroyed and four damaged. KG 2 lost one in combat and one returned damaged. Massive over claiming!
