Dr. Ben Wheatley, a Honorary Research Fellow in the School of History at the University of East Anglia, has used Luftwaffe reconnaissance images to demonstrate visually the disastrous defeat of the Soviet 5th Guards Tank Army at Prokhorovka on 12 July 1943, during the battle of Kursk.
