Your posts are slightly confusing. I don't have Griehl's book from 2001, but I have his later one from 2007 and also Forsyth/Creek's He 162 from 2008.

In post 1 you say the code was E2+52 but in post 5 you refer to codes E3+51 and E3+52

Since both ranges existed, ie E2+ and E3+, it is, as stated, a bit confusing. Oddly enough in his 2007 book, Griehl makes no mention (in the production appendix) of any E-numbers, but F/C does, and if E2+52 is correct, your post 1, we are looking at WNr 220 010 (the M27 or A-010) VI+IT which was 60% destr 2 March 1945 at an unknown place.

However trying to actually see what is painted on the fuselage, that looks more like an E3 prefix followed by 52 and then at least I am in trouble because no E3+52 is listed anywhere as I can see.

So what is it, and if E3+52, has any WNr surfaced for that aircraft?
