Hello Forum,

I am looking for some additional information on a JU-87 B Crash, W.Nr. 0339, which happened on March 26, 1941.

Aircraft was flown by:
Ofw. Werner Schmitz (F) = Flugzeugführer and
Ofw. Wilhelm Baum (Bf) = Bordfunker

The loss list uses the wrong names for both, Werner Schmidt and Wilhelm Barm.

Aircraft belonged to the 10. / KG30.

Neither the city of Ludwigslust nor the town of Grabow have any information on a possible crash in their archives.

The strange thing is that the death certificate of my grandfather Werner Schmitz, shows that the death certificate was issues by the city of Liegnitz (now Poland), which is nowhere near the town of Grabow.

Further questions,
- was the aircraft a JU-87 B?
- when was the aircraft build?
- where was it build?
- what was the complete Werknummer?
