Looking for data concerning the loss of B-17G "amazin MAIZIE" flown by 2Lt. Gerald Bauer and lost on August 7th, 1944 after severe mechanical troubles over Austria. All 10 crew survived and got POW. Maybe one of these guys is still alive?
I have a copy of the MACR dealing with that loss and there are several pictures published on the internet about this aircraft. Unfortunatly nobody has access to the original pictures. Check here:

Since a piece of nose art skin metal has been recoverd I would like to compare it with a good scan picture showing the "amazin MAIZIE" sitting on the nose of this B-17.
ANY HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
