Perhaps I did write it confusingly. Of the III/KG 40 only 8. Staffel remained in Norway late October 1944. The Hs 239 attack took place early October.
Others were transferred as III/KG 40 was ordered 20.10.1944 to be equipped with Me 262. So early October all three Staffeln were in Norway according Valtonen's book. I edited my earlier message.
BTW Valtonen gives reference as BA-MA RL 2 III/733
