Hungarian Me 109G-14 engine serial
Hi Folks, interesting additional details found in Soviet trophy-report on a downed Hungarian Me 109G-14 fighter. Plane was downed by flak on February 12, 1945 at 16:10, local, at Budapest-S, -SW. Altitude was 300 m, distance 800 m. Confirmed by 715 ShAP HQ. Single recce flight. Report says marking was 'B-161', о707595, pilot captured, - survived the war. From Hungarian records we knew, that this Hungarian pilot was Tábori Sándor tiz., the only possible Hungarian Me 109 with similar markings was W-1+61, Me 109G-14, WNr.: 511 247. So DB 605 engine no. of 511 247 was: 00707595.

Downed by 1614 zenap (Soviet 'flak' unit: 1614 ап ПВО). Report says that the 4 soviet guns fired 65 37mm shells and 12 12.7mm DSK rounds to bring down the plane.
