450 Sqn RAAF ORB (F.541) 9/10/(42). p.357 of 1503.
Kittyhawk III FR239 - SGT HOLLOWAY*, R. D. [sic]. Duty - Bomber Escort. Up: 0940 - MISSING. One of our a/c (FR239) is missing. F/O Schaaf observed a/c hit the sea, N. of El Rahman, 250 yards from the coast.
450 Sqn RAAF ORB (F.540) 9/10/42. p.337 of 1503.
AUS. 3288 P/O F. R. Schaaf, one of our pilots, observed an aircraft hit the sea 250 yards from the coast, north of El Rahman. R.79002 Sgt Holloway, R. D. [sic] failed to return from this operation and is posted missing.
