Thank you for the reference. It is odd

The Air Britain book RAF Aircraft LA100-LZ999 shows LL249 passed from 161 Sqn to 138 Squadron then 1659 Conversion Unit and finally 148 Squadron

That was more than enough changes of hands for someone to notice the aircraft they have is not really LL249

I have the 138 ORB but it does not list serial numbers.

In the book Trusty to the End - The History of 148 (SD) Squadron 1918 to 1945 by Oliver Clutton-Brock LL249 does appear in the sortie listings

Therefore I believe the aircraft did indeed get to the Med and was struck off 01.05.45 as in Air Britain
