Only fresh to this discussion but the AIR81/3526 file for GCB Peters states Hurricane P2719 but that's only mentioned on two telegrams, sent on the 30 Sep. The remainder of the file is correspondence with the family and no further mention of the aircraft.
And AIR81/3527 for Nelson-Edwards has him in Hurricane P5177. Same thing, just mentioned on two telegrams on the 30th Sep.
But I realize now this is just confirmation of what AHB told Martin in 1998, probably from the same source perhaps?
I've not actually added anything of use here now!!
