That is interesting because he is saying all JG 1 squadrons had only black and white checker cowlings and no yellow or red.
That is odd because I have seen many original photos from that June 1943- October 1943 where it is clear that the check is dark and definitely not white and black. Now the photos are B&W but clearly the other color is way darker than white?
