I have read some accounts of the British authorities coming to grips with the needs for bomb disposal as Luftwaffe attacks commenced - it seems to have been ad hoc in the early days, with personnel being co-opted from all services and an initial reliance on hairy disposal techniques (to out it mildly). However, I haven't come across much about German bomb disposal efforts.

Presumably Luftwaffe personnel would have had appropriate technical knowledge to have taken part in the bomb disposal effort, hence my question. I assume that there was a great demand for German bomb disposal personnel as the Allied air attacks increased.
