Odd, no 'bestellnummer' is visible on this aircraft.
Secondly this is the second time this pet name is used on a Roland C.II even if the other e-bay photo name was spelled Meerkatzi.
Why are these two aircraft pet named after a monkey species in Africa? Were both pilots from German East Africa perhaps, or was/is this a common pet name for German girls?
In Sweden we simply nicked the German name and called that general species 'Markatta' but it is also a name we gave to troublesome (read independent) girls who had no intention of obeying silly male rules....

Same in Germany perhaps?
