Re: First names Pilot Officer W. Thomas and Flight Lieutenant R.N Wardell
37140 Richard Neville Wardell was a POW 13 Aug 40 with 82 Sqn. 60824 Plt Off William Edward Thomas was shot down with 23 Sqn and taken POW 1 Sep 41. Both retired from the RAF with the rank of Wg Cdr and latter, OBE AFC, retired to the Algarve
