Re: Aces Magazine #15

Hello Delmar, Chris, Franek and all good fellows.

Firstly, sorry for the delay of my answer, I was on holidays with my family, a much appreciated vacation after what happened to me that I lived very badly. (Sorry also for my English, and if it is too long)

Yes, as Focusfocus said, AceS magazine was suspended the third week of June, after Heimdal Editions could not find a new editor to replace me at the head of "my" magazine... and since yesterday AceS with others titles are for sale...

This whole story begins on April 8 when I left the hospital for a little heart problem. Due to the confinement I can't be alone and I am forced to stay with my family it was impossible to go to my office, but I could work there.

A week later, I begin to receive calls from my authors who have not yet been paid from AceS n° 13, as myself, when I am already preparing n°15 and n° 14 has been already printed out since more a month.

As I can't reach the publisher, I ask to my authors to wait for two weeks. Some tell me if they are not paid they will not send their new articles, which seems normal for me.

At the beginning of May (the 6th) I call with the private line to the director of Heimdal, Georges Bernage. I explain the situation, he uses the Lock Down as a pretext to tell me: "we are at war, I will pay my employees first and we will see for the authors..."

Ten days after around the 20th may all my authors are paid but not me, so I call the director a second time, who explains to me that he sent me a letter (in my office) and asks that the magazine (n ° 15) must be to the printer on June 12, I have no time to say why I am not paid he hangs up on me.

I do nothing and I continue my job. With the deconfinement, I can go to my office only 8th June where I find this "famous letter" dated May 14, yes I say May 14 which says that since that date I am no longer the Chief editor of AceS. So How to continue ?

This is the sad story of the end of AceS, which became the best aviation of France, with the best sales of this little market, and good profits for Heimdal. It was beautiful for the eyes, for the photos for theinfos and the knowledge. Even the Late CJE said to a friend "the only good thing that has happened in the French aviation edition for the last ten years was AceS..." it's a very important compliment, just like the 4,500 readers who trusted me in this wonderful adventure.

So you can imagine my sadness and my disappointments; I give all my soul, , my heart, my Passion. All the people who worked with me in this adventure that was AceS belonged to a dream team of enthusiasts with a big hearts; it's the only way to share our passion with passionate readers.

Don't worry I will come back and I hope with my dream team.
