The Dutch airwar website
https://db.wingstovictory.nl/pdf/584-story.pdf has the coastal border area between the Dutch province of Zeeland and the Belgian province of West-Flanders. This roughly means in the Cadzand (NL) - Knokke (BE) area.
It says a German
Vorpostenrotte shot the Hurricane down and the a/c crashlanded in above mentioned area. Marcinkus POW but executed after the Great Escape in 1944.
The Vorpostenrotte VP1302/1303 that claimed the Hurricane speaks of "Quadrat 8755 AN Mitte oben", which I gathered is the southern main channel towards the Scheldt estuary, called Wielingen. But perhaps a map wizard can help you out here.
