I just wanted to send out a big thank you for sharing all this with us. Welford's Log Books were particularly useful to me. The Form 541s of the 1940 ORB for 607 Sqn. unfortunately do not contain information on serial numbers or codes, so this log book allowed me to find the serial numbers of the Hurris with which Welford made his Aug. & Sep. claims. I was also, in conjunction with the ORB of 222 Sqn., able to match up a few more Tempest serial numbers and codes.
