Note that some of the details of this incident were previously given on this site by Matti Salonen on 15-May-12, but without the full details of the Bf 109G-2 loss. No idea if that was because that particular machine was not the subject of the inquiry or the full information was not there at the time. Either way, this thread completes the picture.
