Hi Danny,

No need to apologize, you were right! As someone with a soft spot for this former I./KG66 Fliegerhorst, I can confirm that the correct spelling is DedelsTorf rather than -Dorf, see attached photo of the sign in front of the Flugleitung (control tower). "Gründlich" as they are, the Germans even consulted an expert (Prof. Dr. Ludwig Bückmann) about the correct spelling, see attached document. English members of this board may be surprised by the relation with the English "Thorp/Thorpe".
