RA(..)F fighter-bomber North Africa Oct. 42
I've been reading an oldie by Paul Carell, Die Wüstenfüche, in it he describes an attack on a German medical unit shortly before the 8th Army pushed the Axis from El Alamein early November 1942.
The attack was supposedly during the latter days of October.
October, near "El Daba", the unit involved Sanitätskompanie 1/200 (or its neighbour(s)).
Anyone able to narrow down the date / candidates?
