Many thanks for your updated loss list information. It was interesting to have the tactical code as well as the information that Romm was injured during this emergency landing. I must say that in light of this new information I am not too sure that his first victory was claimed on his second mission as Obermaier states. Just a comment: Romm certainly had his fair share of emergency and belly landings early on in his career! Three in the space of about three months must not have been conductive to his self esteem as a beginning fighter pilot. He more than made up for it later though. Many thanks to all who have responded to my question that began this thread.
