2./JG 2 was active at night 15-16 Aug 43 and 16-17 Aug 43, the latter night claiming 2 aircraft but in the Chartres/Seine Estuary area. As Martin says and no doubt so will Theo, no such claims by the Luftwaffe anywhere near Italy
