Interestingly, it lists the place of death for Hermann Scherer as Hassloch, which is quite a bit south of Oppenheim.
I really think it was the first one you listed as an eye-witness stated she was shot down by US AAA. |

I believe Scherer crashed at or near Hassloch, immediately east of Rüsselheim and some 12 kilometres NE of the crash site at Hessenau.
