Stig I'm sure only 12 reached Japan: most of the other 18--I think 17---went to Grupo 5-G-5 in Spain.
I googled Kanji and Katakana characters ( I think these are the latter) but couldn't make sense. I suspect the style varied with who was doing the painting. I have enough trouble reading English.
